Introduction
This Privacy Policy outlines the commitment of “2vs2 Matches Tracker” (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to protect the privacy of our users (“you” or “your”). Our app lets you track and manage 2v2 games solo or together with a shared group, and this policy explains exactly what data that requires and how it’s handled.
Information We Collect
- Account information: When you first open the app, we automatically create an anonymous account for you (no personal information required) so your data can be linked to you. If you choose to secure your account, you may add an email address and password — your password is handled directly by our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication) and is never visible to us in plain text.
- Content you provide: Group names and descriptions, player names, and match scores/dates that you or other members of your group enter into the app.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers beyond the account identifier needed to operate the app.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the app’s core features: creating and joining groups, recording and syncing match results, leaderboards, and statistics.
- To let you sign back into your account and groups from a new device, if you’ve secured your account with an email and password.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not use any analytics or tracking tools within the app.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Authentication), encrypted in transit. To let you record matches even without an internet connection, a copy of your recent group data is also cached locally on your device and syncs automatically once you’re back online.
Who Can See Your Data
Group content — player names, match results, and group details — is visible only to members of that specific group, i.e. people who joined using your group’s invite code and were approved. We do not make any of your data public.
Data Export and Sharing
You can export your match history or leaderboard as a PDF or CSV file, or share a match result, directly from your device. This is entirely initiated by you and shared through your device’s own share options (for example, a messaging app) — we do not intercept or facilitate this transfer.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete Account). This permanently deletes every group you own along with its players and matches, removes your membership from any other group, and deletes your account itself. This cannot be undone.
- You can leave any group you’re a member of at any time.
Children’s Privacy
This app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and within the app, and we will notify you of any significant changes through the app, as applicable.
